Job Description
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Station In charge or in a similar managerial role within the ropeway industry.
  • Strong mechanical engineering background with a deep understanding of ropeway systems, including cable cars, gondolas, chairlifts, and funiculars.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical components, systems, and equipment used in the ropeway industry, including drives, motors, pulleys, cables, and safety devices.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations governing the design, operation, and maintenance of ropeway systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to provide technical guidance and support for mechanical issues and maintenance activities.
  • Experience in conducting inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills to ensure smooth station operations and maintenance activities.
  • Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools for drafting and simulation.
     
Job Specification
  • Oversee the overall operations of the ropeway station, including boarding and disembarking procedures, ticketing, queuing, and crowd management.
  • Ensure the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for station operations, focusing on safety, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Manage a team of station staff, including ticketing agents, platform operators, maintenance personnel, and customer service representatives.
  • Schedule and coordinate staff shifts, always ensuring adequate coverage to meet operational requirements.
  • Train and mentor station staff on standard procedures, safety protocols, customer service, and emergency response.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols, including evacuation procedures, fire safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance, engineering, and administration, to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the station facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to identify maintenance needs or potential safety hazards.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for the station equipment and systems.
  • Address customer queries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor station performance metrics, such as passenger flow, wait times, and ticket sales, and implement measures to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Prepare reports on station operations, maintenance activities, incidents, and performance indicators for management review.
