As an Odoo Developer, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, debugging, and deploying Odoo modules, encompassing both new module development and customization tasks.
Job Description
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development life-cycle.
- Develop and customize Odoo modules to meet business objectives.
- Utilize existing features in Odoo to efficiently fulfill project scopes.
- Handle change requests and troubleshoot day-to-day issues for Odoo ERP users.
- Write unit test cases and participate in system testing to ensure quality and reliability.
- Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
- Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
- Application support and maintenance activity after production.
- Develop and consume APIs to facilitate communication with external systems or integration with other services.
Job Specification
- Strong knowledge of core python, and programming concepts like OOP.
- Excellent understanding of Odoo framework.
- Knowledge of data models available in Odoo core.
- Proven expertise in developing custom modules in Odoo.
- Excellent understanding of Frontend technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Knowledge in handling Odoo front end(XML and JavaScript and OWL).
- View customization – work on Widgets, Wizards, OWL, view XML etc.
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL with ability to write SQL queries.
- Experience with writing Unit test cases.
- Knowledge of Linux flavored operating systems.
- Familiar with Pylint and PEP 8 Python development style guide.
- Familiarity with Django, Flask or FastAPI can be advantageous.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Docker Compose.
- Commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
- Experience working with a version control such as Git.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
