The Role
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Scrum Master to manage our project workflows
across Jira and Confluence. This is a part-time role focused on keeping our internal team structured,
on track, and accountable. You will own sprint planning, task tracking, and project documentation.
You are not writing code or designing products, but without you, the teams building them will lose
direction.
Requirements
• Jira Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience setting up and managing Jira projects, boards,
sprints, epics, and backlogs. You should be able to configure workflows, filters, and
dashboards without guidance.
• Confluence Management: Able to create and maintain well-organized project
documentation, meeting notes, process guides, and knowledge bases in Confluence.
• Sprint Planning: Experience running sprint planning sessions, defining sprint goals, and
breaking down work into clear, actionable tasks with proper estimates and priorities.
• Tracking and Accountability: Able to monitor sprint progress, flag blockers early, follow
up on overdue tasks, and keep the team honest about deadlines.
• Communication: Clear and direct communication skills. You need to be comfortable asking
hard questions like "why is this not done?" without creating conflict.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience managing projects using Jira and Agile
workflows

Responsibilities
• Set up and maintain Jira projects, boards, sprints, and backlogs for all active teams and
projects.
• Run sprint planning sessions: help the team define priorities, estimate effort, and commit to
realistic sprint goals.
• Track daily and weekly progress across all teams. Flag delays, blockers, and scope changes
early.
• Follow up with team members on overdue or stalled tasks. Keep everyone accountable
without micromanaging.
• Maintain clean, up-to-date documentation in Confluence: meeting notes, sprint summaries,
process documents, and project timelines.
• Generate and share sprint reports, velocity charts, and progress summaries with leadership.
• Continuously improve how we use Jira and Confluence. Suggest better workflows,
automations, or structures as the team grows.
• Be available during scheduled team meetings and standups. Manage remaining tasks
flexibly around those fixed times.
Preferred Skills
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification.
• Experience managing multiple projects or teams simultaneously in Jira.
• Familiarity with Jira automations, custom fields, and advanced reporting.
• Experience working with engineering or product development teams.
• Basic understanding of software or hardware development workflows.
