Key Responsibilities

• Perform full lifecycle database administration including installation, patching, upgrades, and migrations for Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c.
• Manage comprehensive backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, ensuring data integrity and rapid restoration capabilities.
• Proactively monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective tuning solutions for SQL and instance-level issues.
• Configure and maintain Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Implement and enforce robust database security policies, user management, and auditing.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical production database systems.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation of routine DBA tasks and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in a traditional on-premise environment.
• Deep expertise in Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, and 19c.
• Proficiency with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
• Strong command of RMAN for backup, recovery, and cloning operations.
• Advanced skills in SQL and PL/SQL programming and tuning.
• Extensive experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools (AWR, ADDM, SQL Trace, Explain Plan).
• Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX operating systems and shell scripting.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex database issues under pressure.
