The Role
We are looking for a Network Engineer who is technically sharp, communicates clearly, and pays
attention to design quality. This is not a standard IT support role. You will design and build the core
network infrastructure for high-end residential and commercial smart systems.
We do not just "install WiFi." We build reliable, high-performance networks that serve as the
foundation for Control4 Automation, Audio/Video distribution, and Security systems. If the network
goes down, the entire building stops working. Your job is to make sure that never happens.
Requirements
• Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, Port
Forwarding, and VPNs. You must know the difference between a Layer 2 and Layer 3
switch.
• Experience Level: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in network design, planning,
or engineering.
• English Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills are required. You
will be preparing documentation and communicating with international teams.
• Troubleshooting Logic: Able to diagnose network design issues and anticipate real-world
problems before they reach the field. 

Responsibilities
• Network Design and Planning: Design LAN/WAN network layouts including IP
addressing, VLANs, and subnets. Create detailed network topology diagrams, floor plans,
and rack layouts that are ready for on-site teams to implement.
• Equipment Specification: Select and specify appropriate networking equipment (routers,
managed switches, access points) based on project requirements, building layout, and
coverage needs.
• Automation Network Planning: Work with our automation team to plan network
requirements for smart system controllers, touch panels, and IP-based devices. Ensure the
design supports all connected systems reliably.
• Documentation and Handoff: Produce clear, complete design packages that include IP
tables, VLAN assignments, cable schedules, equipment lists, and configuration guides so
that field teams can execute without ambiguity.
• Remote Support: Support on-site teams remotely during implementation. Help
troubleshoot design-related issues, verify configurations, and ensure the final setup matches
the original design.
Preferred Skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or similar CAD tools for creating full network layouts on
architectural floor plans.
• Experience with MikroTik or Cisco CLI (shows you understand networking at a deeper
level).
• Previous exposure to smart home or IoT devices (such as Control4, Lutron, or similar
platforms).
• Basic knowledge of Python for network automation scripts.
