Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Monitor network performance and availability, promptly addressing any outages or performance degradation.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN, WAN, and VPN environments.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including ACLs, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Administer IP addressing schemes, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Perform regular network device backups and participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a network administration role, specifically with on-premise infrastructure.
• Strong command-line interface (CLI) experience with enterprise-grade network devices (e.g., Cisco IOS).
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and various networking protocols.
• Proficiency with routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP).
• Hands-on experience with firewall management (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and VPN configurations.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SNMP).
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+) are highly desirable.
