Job Description
- Plan, organize, and manage the transportation of goods from suppliers to warehouses.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory levels and efficient storage of goods.
- Prepare LC applications and coordinate with banks and respective category buyers for final transmission and communicate to supplier.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and logistics service providers to optimize transportation costs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners and suppliers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for logistics-related inquiries from customers and vendors.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in management
- 2-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing/FMCG companies.
- Familiarity with logistics software and tools (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP systems).
- Familiar with making contracts and agreements.
- Experience in dealing with transporters, CHA and forwarders of local and international including Indian seaports.
- Two-wheeler license is a must
