The Role
We are seeking a precise and detail-oriented Lighting & Electrical Design Specialist to join our
technical design team. This is not a structural or 3D modeling role; instead, we are looking for a
specialist focused on the technical "nervous system" of high-end smart homes.
Your mission will be to transform lighting concepts into technical realities through precise 2D CAD
layouts, load schedules, and comprehensive wiring diagrams.
Requirements
• Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Lighting Calculation: Strong experience with Dialux (or Relux) is a significant advantage.
• Electrical Fluency: Deep understanding of electrical symbols, circuiting, and wiring logic.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent English is a must. You will be responsible for creating
technical documentation and communicating with global project stakeholders.
• Detail Oriented: Ability to maintain rigorous standards for line weights, layering, and
naming conventions in CAD.
Job Specification
Responsibilities
• Technical Drafting: Create high-accuracy 2D electrical plans and lighting layouts using
AutoCAD.
• Lighting Design & Analysis: Utilize Dialux (or similar) to perform photometric calculations,
ensuring light levels meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
• Wiring Schematics: Design detailed electrical wiring diagrams, including low-voltage
control paths and high-voltage circuiting.
• Documentation: Generate circuit schedules, panel schedules, and bill of materials (BOM)
for electrical contractors.
• System Integration: Coordinate lighting layouts with AV and automation systems to ensure
hardware compatibility.
Preferred Skills
• Familiarity with CEDIA-standard documentation.
• Experience designing for lighting control brands such as Lutron (HomeWorks) or Crestron.
• Understanding of international electrical symbols and standards.
