Job Description
  • Plans and illustrates concepts by designing rough layouts of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetics.
  • Develop concepts, graphics and layouts, including making decisions about fonts, images, readability and readers' needs.
  • Coordinates with internal teams, including marketing and brand, and outside stakeholders.
  • Ensures operation of design equipment and software by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Adapt to new and emerging trends; develop innovative Ideas. 
  • Collaborate closely with editors, journalists, photographers, and other team members to ensure that design elements complement editorial content and adhere to the newspaper's style guidelines.
  • Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines. Prioritize tasks and manage the time effectively to accommodate last-minute changes and updates.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in all design elements, including layout, typography, graphics, and photography. Pay attention to detail and ensure accuracy and consistency throughout the newspaper.
Job Specification
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably in the publishing industry.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong conceptual and creative thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
