Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure hospital compliance with NFPA-99, NABH 6th edition, and healthcare safety regulations.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor fire safety and emergency preparedness plans.

  • Conduct regular fire risk assessments, safety inspections, and hazard identification rounds.

  • Plan and conduct fire drills, evacuation drills, and safety training programs for hospital staff.

  • Monitor installation, testing, and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems.

  • Ensure proper chemical storage standards and hazardous material handling practices.

  • Coordinate with biomedical, engineering, and housekeeping teams for safety compliance.

  • Investigate safety incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Maintain all safety documentation, audit records, licenses, and compliance reports.

  • Ensure alignment with patient safety goals and hospital quality standards.

Job Specification

Education & Certification:

  • Diploma in Fire Safety Engineering (mandatory)

Technical Knowledge (Mandatory):

  • Strong knowledge of NFPA-99

  • Knowledge of NABH 6th Edition – Facilities Management & Safety

  • Knowledge of patient safety goals
