Job Description:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, lighting systems, and associated
equipment.
Interpret and work from technical drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints to perform
installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of transformers, UPS systems, rectifiers, battery
banks, circuit breakers, voltage stabilizers, diesel generators (DG), portable petrol generators
(PPG), air-conditioning/cooling systems, and other electrical infrastructure.
Troubleshoot electrical faults, equipment failures, and system abnormalities using appropriate
testing and diagnostic equipment.
Monitor electrical systems and key operational parameters through centralized and remote
monitoring platforms, and respond promptly to alarms, outages, warnings, and critical incidents.
Assess the criticality of system issues, ensure timely resolution within defined SLA timelines, and
escalate issues to concerned teams and supervisors when required.
Coordinate with field engineers, regional teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure
uninterrupted operation of electrical and power infrastructure.
Manage assigned work schedules effectively to meet operational requirements, maintenance
targets, and shift responsibilities.
Conduct site inspections, equipment health assessments, and system audits, and recommend
corrective and preventive actions for continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate operational logs, maintenance records, DG/PPG operation records, incident
reports, issue tickets, and other related documentation.
Provide timely operational updates and reports to supervisors regarding system status,
maintenance activities, incidents, and ongoing work.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, organizational policies, and industry
best practices while properly using tools, testing equipment, and safety gear.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, electrical systems, power infrastructure, regulatory
requirements, and industry best practices.
Job Specifications:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering (CTEVT Level 2) or equivalent qualification completed.
Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, power systems, or a related field.
Sound knowledge of three-phase electrical systems, AC/DC systems, power distribution
networks, transformers, UPS systems, rectifiers, battery banks, DG/PPG, circuit breakers, voltage
stabilizers, and cooling systems.
Good understanding of electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, maintenance procedures,
and operational processes.
Ability to diagnose electrical faults and perform preventive and corrective maintenance using
testing and diagnostic equipment.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication, reporting, organizational, and team coordination abilities.
Ability to perform fieldwork and work effectively in operational and maintenance environments.
Knowledge of electrical safety standards and proper use of tools, testing equipment, and
personal protective equipment (PPE).
Familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends related to electrical and power
infrastructure systems.
Deep understanding of electrical systems, power generation, blueprints, Maintenance, and
repair knowledge.
