Job Description
- Conduct oral health assessments and examine teeth and gums.
- Perform scaling, polishing, and other dental cleaning procedures.
- Take and process dental X-rays.
- Apply fluoride, sealants, and other preventive treatments.
- Educate patients on brushing, flossing, and proper oral hygiene.
- Maintain and update patient dental records.
- Sterilize dental instruments and follow infection control protocols.
- Assist the dentist during procedures when required.
- Monitor periodontal health and perform periodontal charting.
- Provide post-treatment instructions and oral care advice to patients.
- Ensure clinic cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards are met.
Job Specification
- Certificate in Dental Science (Dental Hygiene)
- Knowledge of dental instruments, cleaning techniques, and oral hygiene procedures.
- Ability to take and interpret dental X-rays.
- Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Good communication and patient education skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in clinical tasks.
- Ability to work effectively with dentists and other dental staff.
