5 Ways To Make Professional LinkedIn Profile

To use LinkedIn effectively, you should create a strong, professional profile that accurately represents your experience and skills. You should also be proactive in networking by reaching out to others in your industry, joining relevant groups, and engaging with content that is relevant to your field. 
 

1. 1. A Decent Profile/ Cover Picture

Instinctively, the first impression falls on your account profile and cover picture. Having a profile picture on a professional platform like LinkedIn is essential. A fresh look with a clearly visible face on a plain background is the ideal model for the profile picture. Similarly, a banner of the company you work for or on your cover picture.

The name, address, and email addresses should be normal and real for the credibility and authenticity of your account. In the about section, mention who you are, what you represent, or anything you think adds value to your professional life. You can also highlight the important role you played or contributed to your previous occupation.

Adding the details about your education from primary school to undergraduate university and further studies. Highlight the major skills you have related to the field of your education and the potential careers you prefer. Add other basic soft skills for support that helps you convey a positive attitude and behavior towards people generally and the workplace. You can request and add a genuine recommendation highlighting the contribution of your working tenure from your supervisors or colleagues.
