Job Description
TeamXL is recruiting AV Technicians. A Technician is responsible for the set up and operation of audio-visual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports to a Department Head.
Key Responsibilities
· Equipment Operation: Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section.
o Assist in cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping and repairing equipment prior to an event

o Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise.
o Complies with all Company security and safety measures.
o At times the technicians will work as part of a team on larger scale projects.
· Customer Service
o Strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
o Maintain a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication.
o Meet with guests on site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly.
o Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day.
o Understand and foster the hotel/client relationship.
· Technical Ability
o Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues.
o Handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
· Systems Knowledge
o Understand company processes, follow procedures and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately.
o Use the equipment sheets to determine the equipment scheduled for set up and for strike. Interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment.
o Increase revenue by utilizing floor up-selling techniques.
o Work with clients to finalize invoices.
Job Specification
Job Qualifications
• 1 year of audio-visual experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.

Work Environment
Work is performed in hotels/convention centers/clubs/open spaces. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components, and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple hotel locations. Working times will include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
